PianoAccents.com - World Music for the Piano
November 04, 2011
I love traveling, learning about different cultures and hearing new sounds from around the world. After a trip in 2009 to Africa I was eager to share some of these new sounds that I'd experience with my students, but quickly realized that there weren't materials avaialble to do so. The next year and a half or so I set about putting together a collection of music from Africa for piano for my students. This project of mine turned into Piano Accents - World Music for the Piano.

Thank you for visiting my new website.
In the past I haven't been the best about updates, however I am newly committed to turning over that leaf and really wanting my website to be a portal for everyone wanting to find out about what I'm up to: the projects I'm working on, new music, where I'm performing and how I might be able to lend my musical gifts to help YOU with what you are working on.
It’s been an exciting and busy summer: Touring with the Houston Boychoir in June, working with Perkins Youth School of Theology (always one of the highlights of my year), music with the Southwest Baptist Children’s Camp, working with hot new Latin/Soul singer Sarah Ramirez (her debut EP “In My Way” is available on itunes featuring a song we co-wrote “Pressure”), having my new song Road to Accra featured by BigBangTX, working with Echo Theatre in Bible Women and so on….it’s been a lot of fun.
I'm extremely excited about the fall particularly working with the Houston Boychoir to start a new choir for changed voices that I'll be directing and my new collaboration with Birch Street Music LLC.
Please signup for the newsletter to keep up to date with all the goings ons and special shout outs to Michael Hogenmiller and Scott Allen of Cypher Design Studio for all their design and web help.
