I remember thinking as a child, no-one feels music how I do. I have always felt music on a soul level, as essential to my being. Over the years music has become both a blanket and the lens through which I understand myself and how I relate to the world. In my work, I have sought to share music in a way that elevates people’s outlooks on life and themselves.
I sing, play and produce beautiful music with amazing people that changes lives for the better. This is my passion. My musical background ties together jazz piano, choral music, African drumming, along with gospel influences and a hint of country twang. As I travel throughout the US, Europe, Asia & Africa, I connect to people’s stories and rhythms. Music tells a story and everyone has a story to tell.
As a musician I have had the privilege of being apart of some amazing stories: growing up in the Singing Boys of Houston/Houston Boychoir, attending the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and singing in the Glee Club at Morehouse College…Serving in music ministries and studying voice in Vienna and sacred music at SMU…Working with many amazing talents like John Holiday (CAMI Artist), Maddie & Tae (Dot Records), Breelan Angel (MisBehavin Records), Sister C (X Factor Finalists, Triple C Ent.), Sibling Rivalry, Music World Music (Home of Destiny’s Child), Sophie Beem (Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment.)….Publishing piano and choral music through my company Piano Accents…and today helping young artists find their way through my artist development partnership, Amp U.
Music opens me to my highest self, a life of discovery, authenticity and oneness. I’m thankful to be able to share that with the world.
